My Mah-Jongg Adventures
I play American, Chinese Mahjong Competition Rules, and Japanese Mah-Jongg mostly. Once in a while I even get to travel to Japan, China, and Europe. Click on the links below to see my mah-jongg friends.
In May of 2002 the Homestead Museum ( http://www.homesteadmuseum.org/) held an event featuring music, garb, and trends of the Roaring Twenties. I went and spoke on mah-jongg as it was played in the 1920s.
Here I am again. That hat looks kinda silly on me, doesn't it...
"No doubt about it - I gotta get me another hat!"

In March 2003 I coached players in advanced strategy at Pebble Beach in Monterey, California.
This is (L-R) Tony, Jami, and Julie. All put up with me in good humor. At least I wasn't wearing that darned hat this time. The munchies were scrumptious!
By the way, Jami is TV actess Jami Gertz. When she came to sit at my table, I kept looking quizzically at her, thinking "her face looks familiar." She cleared it up for me pretty soon and we just had some good mah-jongg fun.
