You can get new card files from me, but not until a new card comes out. The AMJA card comes out in January each year, and the NMJL card comes out on April 1st each year.
The program includes an editor so you can program the game to work with your NMJL card if you feel like going to the trouble...
... but you don't need to, because you can buy the Extras CD that has the latest NMJL card already programmed for you. You can't buy this CD from anybody else - I made it. It includes:

I designed and produced this game as an employee of Activision. Activision owns and publishes the game, and I no longer get paychecks from Activision. It is Activision who supports the customers once they've bought the game from a store or wherever - NOT ME. If you have a technical support question about the game, Activision has all the answers. You can find a lot of them at http://www.activision.com (just click the Support tab).
The best way to get tech support for Activision products is by telephoning Activision's Customer Support department (see your game manual or the website for the number). If you call them, a very quick two-way communication will quickly get to the heart of your problem. On the other hand, if you write to Activision with a tech support question, you need to provide information about your system and about your problem -- and they need to know which version of Shanghai you're asking about (you have to give them a lot of information up front in order to prevent the two-way communication turning into a three-week process, which is why telephone is better). It takes a lot longer to get tech support via email than via phone, and the email method requires you to work a lot harder. Telephone is best.
If you do for some reason decide that you just have to have your Shanghai question handled by me via email, please give me enough clues to help you (otherwise we can spend weeks or months in me dragging information about your problem out of you - it's happened before)! I cannot read your mind. In your email, help me understand exactly which Shanghai you have, and exactly what problem you are having. But be forewarned. It's actually hard work for you to ask a good question by email. Yes, there really IS such a thing as a bad question - for more about how to ask a good question, read FAQ 30 and/or FAQ 3 on the Game Design Advice zone of this website. If your email doesn't give me enough information to help you, I'll have to refer you to Activision. Those guys can get info out of you despite yourself! And please do not telephone me with Shanghai support questions. I don't do telephone support (you'll find out why if you telephone me; I have not had any "grumpiness management" training whatsoever, and I'm likely to treat you as though you were a complete computer dunce. You don't want me to go there). Better you should telephone Activision. Their representatives are trained to help you by phone. And they get paid to help people with computer game problems - I do not. Clear?
To recap: the best way to get Shanghai support is by telephone, from Activision. If you insist on getting your support from me, don't call me -- email me.
Or, to put it yet one more way: "Call them, don't email them. Call them, don't call me. If they can't help you, email me, don't call me and don't post the question on the Q&A BB."
